An Initiative from Virginia Theological Seminary

The AsiAmerica Ministries are training their Andrew’s Mentors by adapting the Thriving Mentor process to fit their context.  Five Andrews Mentors last September joined the first cohort of Thriving Mentors.  A Core Team formed around that training and the discussion among them, Fred Vegara and David Gortner.  David and the Core Team gathered in March 2019 to adapt the Thriving Impact Map to the specific needs of the Andrews Mentor model of one on one mentoring and the contexts of the various AsiAmerican parishes. More than 30 new Andrews Mentors, the Core Team, David Gortner and Carol Pinkham Oak gather September 16 to 19 to launch this new training.  Joining this training to take the first step toward adapting the Thriving Model to their contexts are 5 Core Team Members of the African American Ministries. Thriving takes another step to support the ministries of The Episcopal Church.
